According to the latest browser usage statistics released by OneStat, Firefox uptake slowed during January, in fact, IE had somewhat of a rebound on November, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near enough for Billy and his team to crack open a bottle of bubbly or for Steve to perform his victory dance :).
Netscape continued to lose ground. It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago, NetScape was where Firefox is now.
January 2006 stats
1. Microsoft IE 85.82% +0.37% on November 05
2. Mozilla Firefox 11.23% -0.28% ”
3. Apple Safari 1.88% +0.13% ”
4. Opera 0.77% unchanged ”
5. Netscape 0.16% 0.26% -0.10% ”

By the way, Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview is now available for download, but given that this release is really for the brave, I think I’ll hang back until the Beta 2 version is released. But, hey, here’s the link to download IE 7 Beta 2 Preview:

If you try it out, let me know what you think of it :)
